Media Release: 21 April 2009
Auckland Art Fair 09

The Art Fair’s got talent

It takes talent and a sharp suit to front a room full of the best looking art in New Zealand. That’s why we’re happy to announce TV presenter, music industry professional and man-about-town Paul Ellis as our guest MC for Auckland Art Fair’s exclusive gala opening, the Hesketh Henry Vernissage.

Paul bantered his way to the top of the television ratings in his role as the tough-but-fair judge of New Zealand Idol and New Zealand’s Got Talent. Away from the spotlight, however, he earned his talent-picking stripes with 15 years as a Sony music company executive in New York and around the world, mixing with some of the biggest names in the entertainment business.

With Paul at the microphone we’re confident of one of the best night’s out of the year, at what has become the signature function at New Zealand’s premier visual arts event. The Hesketh Henry Vernissage is all-inclusive evening of art, entertainment, premium wines, and canapés, followed by a buffet style supper. Not just another function, it’s a big night out – for grown-ups.

Auckland Art Fair 09 invites you to get your heads around the best contemporary art in Australasia.

Engage in some lively debate with friends, colleagues and clients while you explore the 40 galleries, and 200 artists represented at the fair.
